Additional Projects
Because NERD is the new cool, check some of the projects that I enjoyed working on!
Fake News Poster
What I liked:
I really enjoy creating posters while translating complex topics into models.
For me, it is important to think how the information is communicated, whether I am there to explain it or not.
Project Goal: Understand the context of fake news and the challenges social media stakeholders face in order to build a project framing and an ideal design strategy solution.
Created for the class Building and Understanding Context - IIT Institute of Design, Fall 2017.
My work at the IIT Institute of Design is possible because I am a: Beneficiaria del Programa de Becas de Estudios en el Extranjero FONCA CONACYT 2017.
Leading New York cancer center - Faculty Research
What I liked:
This project in particular showed me how to be entrepreneurial. We had guidance but complete responsibility for creating our own design path.
I considered the final framework to be purposeful. We managed to create an approach that really helped the client (They shared it with all their strategy department).
Also, I learned what implies to use design lenses to understand organizational structures only by doing remote research.
Project’s goal: How might we shape the future of centralized and decentralized services for a premiere cancer center?
This client was interested in understanding centralized and decentralized services by building analogous case studies in order to understand how these organizations have designed their intake and management processes.
They asked us to generate a framework to use as they develop future organization-wide services.
Created for the research and strategy faculty research lead by Jeremy Alexis - IIT Institute of Design, Spring 2018.

Diagram Development
What I liked:
I really enjoy using illustrator and InDesign to create visual representations that reflect complex content and analysis (tools for thinking and tools for communicating).
I could spend hours and hours coding information in spreadsheets in order to make a structure and then convert chunks of information into diagrams.
Created for the class Diagram Development - IIT Institute of Design, Spring 2018.

IRL (In Real Life) - A new type of social media
What I liked:
I enjoyed working on the visuals and making this poster for the End of the Year Show. This is an event that happens yearly.
Also, created the final deliverable (click ‘see more’ button).
While working on this projects our team realized that this service has the potential to become a startup. However, non of us is interested in creating more social media channels.
Deliverable for the Analysis & Synthesis class - IIT Institute of Design Fall 2017 lead by Peter Zapf

Breast Cancer Patient Journey
What I liked:
Making user journeys and mapping experiences is one of my favorite tasks in the world! I like bringing different research perspectives to the table and end up building infographics as beautiful as the image on the left (or up if you are reading on a mobile device)
Also, I enjoy working in teams with graphics designers. I have learned a lot from them, from understanding how to make your own visual identity to how to be efficient in Illustrator.
Project’s goal: Define a strategic plan for a pharmaceutical’s oncology team, by developing a deep understanding of the Metastatic Breast Cancer patient journey, from the first signs and symptoms through the different lines of treatment.
This patient journey is copyrighted by Insitum.
Game of Chutes & Ladders with relevant information from research
What I liked:
Deliverables that ARE NOT DECKS!
I enjoyed making the layout and planning this board game to share the research with a client.
Snakes are challenges and ladders are positive outcomes that the research participants faced when using a product/service.
Project’s goal: Understanding the goals, motivations and attitudes of using an online learning platform in the key users such as teachers and students in Mexico in order to define if the website can bring the true value proposition to its users.
Both concept and board game are copyrighted by Insitum.
Banking App
What I liked:
Deliverables that ARE NOT DECKS! But InVision prototypes.
I enjoyed bringing my User Experience expertise to this project.
Also, I really like that the process of creating an App is more analog than technological (see more)
Project’s goal: Understand deeply the needs of SMEs to develop a business banking application to manage accounts based in user-centered research and usability principles. Design the look & feel and validate users’ interaction with real and potential users (InVision prototype).
Available in App Store and Google Play
This concept is copyrighted by Insitum.
